Luxury medical treatment facility at Paracelsus Recovery

At Paracelsus Recovery, we work closely with a select group of the best hospitals in Zurich, handpicked for their expertise in each specialty. This allows you to undergo medical treatment for various conditions, while we provide comprehensive support throughout the process. Our holistic treatment programmes aim to minimise symptoms and side effects, help you implement necessary lifestyle changes, and ensure your body has everything it needs to heal and thrive.

What conditions do we treat in a hospital setting?

At Paracelsus Recovery, we collaborate with Zurich’s leading hospitals to address a wide range of conditions. These partnerships cover any somatic or physical health issue, from complex neurodegenerative disorders and cardiovascular conditions to hormonal imbalances, skin issues, diabetes, sexual health concerns, post-surgery complications, and the implications of organ removal (such as the psychological and physiological impacts following intestinal removal). We work closely with top specialists in each field, ensuring direct access to the best care available.

While we manage all mental health and functional health treatments entirely in-house with our dedicated expertise, for conditions that require further diagnostics or specialised treatments, we partner with the best clinics in Zurich. For example, as part of our world-leading longevity programme, the 7-day Comprehensive Health Check-Up, we integrate top local hospitals whenever necessary.

What does treatment involve?

Our treatment programmes are designed to support you holistically while you undergo hospital treatment. To design your programme, we conduct an elaborate testing procedure and create a tailored-to-you treatment plan to tackle your specific issues. While the exact combination of treatments you receive will depend entirely on your unique needs, all of our programmes share a 360-degree approach. This involves drawing on a multitude of disciplines and points of view (medical, orthomolecular, psychological, TCM, functional medicine, physiotherapy and osteopathy, amongst others) that share the aim of restoring your physical, mental and biochemical health. To this same end, we also include complementary therapies such as aromatherapy, herbal medicines, yoga, biofeedback, biochemical restoration, acupuncture, massage therapy, yoga, mindfulness, tai chi and qigong, nutrition supplementation and physical activity. In doing so, we help you get your body and mind into as optimal a state as possible.

For example, we focus on optimising mental health by providing a live-in therapist to navigate the psychological stress that comes with your diagnosis. We also work in conjunction with doctors and hospital staff to to treat any co-occurring substance abuse issue or mental health conditions. Optimising physical health involves extensive testing and working closely with a nutritionist who designs a bespoke protocol of supplements and meals to support the hospital treatment plan. We also help you create and implement any necessary lifestyle modifications to support the healing process. Furthermore, we optimise biochemical health to facilitate the body’s natural healing process by using individualised formulas of nutritional supplements and IV, bioresonance treatmen. Alongside this, we offer various complementary therapies such as massage and reflexology to minimise the side effects of any hospital treatment you are receiving.

What are the benefits?

It is well-documented in research that a holistic approach can support conventional medical treatments for a variety of conditions. By bringing in multiple modalities and perspectives and benefiting from a team of over 15 dedicated specialists, you’re giving yourself the best possible chance of recovery.

This approach, known as integrative medicine, focuses on treating the whole person rather than the localised disease in isolation. So while your hospital treatment focuses on treating the disease or condition in question, we zoom out to look at the whole picture of your health. This means focussing on your physical, psychological, emotional, genetic, cellular, and environmental health to address imbalances and promote healing and well-being. This also involves combining conventional western medicines with modalities such as acupuncture, yoga or massage. Such an approach is scientifically-backed, shown to be effective in reducing symptoms for a wide range of conditions and side effects of hospital treatment. An integrative approach can also help you feel more at ease during your hospital treatment.

Another benefit of our collaborative treatment programmes with local hospitals is that we can help you navigate any co-occurring conditions alongside the main condition being treated. For example, substance abuse dependencies are co-occuring with various chronic conditions. We can help you treat any addictions you have, which will improve your chances of healing from the condition you are receiving hospital treatment for. In addition, the treatment we provide can help you effectively implement any lifestyle modifications, such as eating a balanced diet, getting regular exercise, limiting alcohol and quitting smoking, that are recommended as part of your hospital treatment plan.
