When we strip away the obsessive monitoring and rigid routines, what lies beneath the quest for longevity at all costs is often fear.
For our CEO, Jan Gerber, it is this fear of aging, decline, and death that drives what he has termed longevity fixation syndrome, a phrase he coined to describe a cluster of symptoms we are increasingly observing among our clients at Paracelsus Recovery. The term appears to have resonated, with The Week recently referring to it as a “damaging new addiction.”
