WHAT WE TREAT
Menopause may be an inevitable part of a woman’s life, but suffering through it does not need to be. Our holistic approach to hormonal health can help you minimise symptoms and retain vitality as your body changes.
Menopause occurs twelve months after a woman’s last period. However, in the years leading up to that moment, a woman will experience numerous physical changes and symptoms such as mood swings, hot flashes, insomnia, and brain fog. This period is called perimenopause and occurs due to decreasing oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone levels in her body.
Once symptoms ease and menopause has occurred, a woman enters the postmenopausal period. The menopausal transition typically occurs between the ages of 45 – 55. Still, menopause can occur earlier, known as premature or even later, known as late-onset.
The onset of the menopause can cause pain, fear and suffering, with fluctuating oestrogen levels wreaking havoc on our mental health and well-being. Symptoms such as brain fog, which affects more than 70% of menopausal women, can be so intense that women leave careers during this period. Stigmas, misunderstandings and sexist ideas can also create an environment where women can feel ashamed or embarrassed to share how menopause impacts them. This can lead to increased stress and isolation, among other detrimental side effects. There is an increased risk of depression and other mental health issues for women going through the menopause.
Through our combination of medical, psychological and personal care, we are proud to be the only clinic in the world that addresses co-occurring conditions and every possible menopause symptom. In so doing, we can help you restore your hormonal health, process any emotional issues that perimenopause has brought with it, and restore your cellular vitality.
